Applause! Applause!
Those pictures are GORGEOUS!
Thanks Vk ... you've reminded me of the cherry tree we used to have in our backyard. Come May (that's when it bloomed here), it was a sight to see!

Hi NY? Yes you are right this is in Tokyo! I was quite pleased with the first shot too, I love the contrast of the branches with the blossoms :)

Bearette: I didn't know NYC had cherry blossoms too...yet another compelling reason for me to visit the Big Apple someday :)

Mmm I love cherry blossoms. I lived in Washington DC for about 5 years and when they came out it was like magic. :) They look unreal.

I love your pics! We took the pup into DC a few days ago to experience his first cherry blossom festival, it was so beautiful! We took a ton of pictures, too - I love the monuments in the background. I'd been looking forward to going for months! (Domo arigato, Mayor Ozaki!)

Great pics! They are in full bloom in the DC area as well. Some of the neighborhoods I drive through in Northern Virginia on my short cuts to work look magical. I need to take my camera with me and snap a few pictures to post on my web site. Photography is art, right? :)
Thanks for sharing!

Lou: I'd love to see the kind of artistic shots you would take...and yes; in my humble opinion it is most definitely art :)
