Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris

This is the first (of many!) pictures I took of Notre Dame in Paris this January...



It was early afternoon, I had checked into my hotel and I quickly grabbed my phrasebook and camera and hit the streets. It was a perfect wintry day, sunny with some blue sky and little wind. Paris was waiting...

    Me too bearette - I especially love the walkways...I feel like a character in Les Miserables when I walk along them :)

    I see in your profile we've got very similar taste in books - have you read Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy? If not, I highly recommend it.

    I don't post to Flickr; one of my reasons for starting this blog was so that I had somewhere to post my numerous pics...and so that family and friends back home would have more of an idea of what I get up to over here :p

    I love the picture! France is so beautiful, I was there for 5 weeks over the summer and I miss it. I can't wait to get back.

    Glad you like it summerinfrance - and welcome :) I really enjoyed being there in winter - it's a completely different atmosphere to the summer crowds!
