When the urge to chew strikes...

...A chewing gum vending machine!

Lotte uses the slogan "your palate's sweetheart, Lotte" which was inspired by Von Goethe's Charlotte.

    Soilant green gum is PEOPLE! Aagh!

    Regarding the fines for people that throw cigarette butts, I wish they did that here. When we went to Lake Tahoe, they were everywhere and they were disgusting.

    In fact, littering is everywhere. People are idiots.

    I'm not sure what's worse. Gum, Green Gum, or gum from a vending machine. I am not a fan of gum at all. I hate the sound of people chewing gum, I hate the smell of it, and what I hate most about gum is when people feel they have a right to throw it where ever they feel like it. Usually where I end up walking.

    Sorry for the negative post. Did I mention that I didn't like gum. ;)

    BTW, very cool picture. You certainly seem like a well travelled person.

    Carolyn: I had no idea what you meant by "soilent green gum is people" but after googling I now understand :)

    Regarding litter...you're right - people are idiots :p

    Lou: I must admit I'm a gum chewer...but not a gum smacker! And I'm certainly not a gum litterer. Actually the cool thing about gum in Japan is that each pellet or strip is individually wrapped - so you have somewhere to put your used gum :)

    And...I live to travel :p

    Ivonne: I found it weirdly cool too - which is why I snapped it :p

    I didn't actually purchase any gum from it as I don't like Lotte gum - the flavour only lasts about 25 chews :(
