Bran Castle is 60m high and perched on a rocky outcrop:

Inside, it's actually rather pleasant and has whitewashed walls:

Vlad Tepes was imprisoned here for 2 months in 1462:

In 1920 it was presented as a gift to the Romanian Royal Family:

Nowadays it's a museum.

Biserica Neagra...

Biserica Neagra - Black Church was built between 1384 and 1477:

A fire in 1689 blackened its walls and gave it the name Black Church:

It's not particularly black anymore:

It's the largest Gothic church in Romania:

The original exterior statues have been moved inside where you can also view 120 Turkish rugs bought by travelling merchants.
